This document contains general information on frequently asked questions regarding our policies, products and services, as well as reference information, cancellations and payments.

Your Reservation

Can I modify / cancel my reservation due to Covid-19?
Reservations with totally flexible rates.

They are those "prepaid" stays in full. For reservations with flexible rates, full payment is made at the time of reservation. If you contact us before 24 hours prior to your arrival, we will refund 100% of the total amount incurred, excluding reservation costs and administrative costs.

Semi-flexible and non-refundable rate reservations

They are those direct reservations paid, it refers to the amount paid per reservation and not for the entire stay. It does not include reservations made on any OTA and / or platform such as Booking.com or Expedia.com, which have their own policy.

With the widespread knowledge about COVID-19, all new non-refundable or semi-flexible reservations such as packages or promotions, made as of January 1, 2021 will not enter the EcoHotel policy on COVID-19 and the cancellation will remain in line with the original terms and conditions of the reservation. If you have any concerns about an existing reservation, contact us at reservas@ecohotel.cl or recepcion@ecohotel.cl, where we will be happy to help you.
Has my reservation been made correctly if I have not received any confirmation?
If you have not received any calls, confirmation number or email, check the spam folder of your email and make sure you have entered the correct email address. If you still can't find the confirmation of your reservation, it is likely that it was not processed. You can solve your doubts by sending an email to reservas@ecohotel.cl to check if your reservation has been made correctly.
Can I make a group reservation?
Group reservations cannot be made the same as individual reservations on the EcoHotel website. Contact ventastalca@ecohotel.cl to make group reservations.
How can I modify my reservation?
If you wish to modify your reservation, please contact the hotel directly at reservas@ecohotel.cl. Only flexible rates can be modified until 12:00 noon on the arrival date. Semi-flexible rates can be changed 5 days prior to arrival. For group reservations, the modification must be made 28 days before the arrival date.
How can I make a reservation?

Our hotels

Is the hotel reception open 24 hours?
We are the only ones in town staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Does the hotel have parking?
Yes, we have courtesy spaces so you can park your vehicle. You can ask when you arrive at the hotel or call in advance to find out if the hotel has spaces available for our guests.
Can I smoke in the hotel / room?
Smoking is not allowed. EcoHotel has a strict policy that prohibits smoking in all areas of the hotel, including rooms, bathrooms, and pools and terraces.
Does the hotel admit children?
Children of any age can stay at the hotel as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Any person of legal age (18 years or older) is considered an adult. Children under 1 year old do not pay for their stay.
What is the minimum age to stay at the hotel?

Can I show up at the hotel without any reservation?
It is possible to arrive on the same day and make the reservation online or at the Hotel reception, as long as we have rooms available for that night. However, it is less risky and you will get better prices if you plan your stay in advance.
How can I add additional services to my stay?
Our hotels offer additional services that you can add to your stay if required. You can do so by requesting the additional ones at reservas@ecohotel.cl or upon arrival at the hotel.

Our rooms

I have no disability. Still, can I reserve a wheelchair accessible room?
Yes, you can book this type of room without any disability. However, if you do not have any disability, we ask you to reserve a standard room and leave these rooms for those who need them.

We take responsibility for the accessibility of our guests and that is why we give priority to those who need an accessible room.
Do the rooms include bed linen and towels?
Yes, bed linen and towels are included in the price of the room.
Is there cleaning service?
Yes, the rooms are cleaned before the arrival of the guests, during and after leaving the room, before the arrival of the next guest. If you want an additional cleaning service during your stay, you can request it at the time of booking or at the hotel, at an additional cost.

Remember to always keep your valuables with you or use our safes to store those of more value. We cannot be held responsible for your belongings.
Can I request a room next to another or on a specific floor?
Contact the hotel to request the desired floor and adjoining rooms. We will do everything in our power to satisfy your requests, however, keep in mind that they may be subject to availability.
Do you have toiletries available?
We offer basic toiletries in the form of shower gel and hand wash

Cancellations and Changes

How can I extend my stay?
Para alargar tu estadía asegúrate de comunicarte a reservas@ecohotel.cl para solicitar la extensión de tu estadía o puedes hacerlo directamente en la Recepción del Hotel. Si no, deberás realizar una nueva reserva online en https://www.ecohotel.cl.
Why haven't I received my refund?
If you have the right to a refund and you have not received it within 10 working days from the date of request, please contact us at accounting@ecohotel.cl or at reservas@ecohotel.cl, provide us with information to contact you directly.
Can I cancel my reservation?
It depends on the rate you have chosen. Take a look at our cancellation policies below.

SEMIFLEXIBLE RATE OR FLEXIBLE RATES
Cancellations or modifications of your reservation can be made up to 5 days before your arrival date. You will not be able to cancel your reservation after that date.

We will reimburse you 70% of the money you have paid for all the nights canceled, excluding booking fees and management fees.

NON-FLEXIBLE RATES
Because non-flexible rate reservations are discounted, these reservations are non-refundable.

PROMOTIONAL RATES
Because non-flexible rate reservations are discounted, these reservations are non-refundable.

GROUP RESERVATION RATES
You can cancel a group reservation in its entirety before 28 days prior to the expected arrival date, notifying us via email to reservas@ecohotel.cl and to Jefead-ministracion@ecohotel.cl. The 10% deposit is non-refundable, but we will refund any additional amount you have paid (including food and beverage extras; all other extras are non-refundable), except booking fees. If you cancel a group reservation 28 days or less before the scheduled arrival date, we will not be able to make a refund of the amount of the room or rooms, nor of the extras contracted with the reservation or of the commissions per reservation.

Luggage

Can I leave my luggage at the hotel after check-out?
Yes, we have luggage storage in all our hotels. Keep in mind that luggage storage is an additional cost, you must reserve it at the hotel reception.

Make sure you have the ticket that you will get with you to be able to collect your luggage later.

Arrivals and Departures (check-in / out)

What happens if I cannot arrive on the first day of my reservation?
Individual reservations may be canceled without charge up to 24 hours before the arrival date. Those reservations canceled after this period are considered No-Show and a value equivalent to the first night's accommodation plus VAT will be charged. For group reservations (from 5 rooms), different policies will be applied that will be specified in the respective quote. You can contact the hotel at +56 71 234 2000 or by email at reservas@ecohotel.cl to inform us of your plans. If you plan to check-in after 2:00 in the morning, you must inform the hotel of this, otherwise, the hotel will apply the cancellation policy.
Can I check-in at the hotel overnight?
Customers can check-in at the hotel at any time after 2:00 p.m. and until 10:00 a.m. the next day that is the departure time. If you plan to check-in after 2:00 in the morning, you must inform the hotel of this, otherwise, the hotel will apply the cancellation policy.
What is the maximum time to check-out?
Customers must check-out at the latest at 12:00 on the day of departure. But if you require additional time, we offer the possibility of leaving the room at 3:00 p.m. Please note that this is an additional cost. You can request it directly at the hotel, subject to availability.
From what time can I check-in?
Check-in starts at 2:00 PM and can be done throughout the day. Check-out must be done until 12:00 am on the day of departure. Our hotels have 24-hour service. If you plan to check-in after 2:00 in the morning, you must inform the hotel of this, otherwise, the hotel will apply the cancellation policy.

Do you have hair dryers, irons, or kettles available?
Hairdryers are available in all of our hotel rooms. In addition, we have Laundry service for an additional charge. There are no kettles available in our rooms.

Do you have meeting rooms available?
We do not have meeting rooms in our hotels. However, we have 4 comfortable rooms so you can hold your business meetings.
Can I bring my pet?
Si, solo mascotas domésticas, de apoyo emocional o perros guías. Un cargo adicional de $20.000 CLP por habitación, será adicionada a su estadía. Los perros guía se admiten sin coste alguno.
Do your hotels have elevators?
Yes, all of our hotels have free access elevators.

Room types

What is a single room?
A single room has 1 KING bed and can accommodate up to 2 people.
What is a double room?
A double room has 2 double beds (QUEEN) that can accommodate up to 2 adult guests. Up to 1 additional guest is allowed per room with a value of $ 18,000 + VAT per adult and $ 12,000 + VAT for children older than 1 year.

Does the hotel have its own bar or restaurant?

Does the hotel offer breakfast?
Yes, we serve an exquisite American buffet breakfast every day in our Restaurant. From MON to FRI between 06:30 and 10:00, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays 07:00 to 10:00.

Payments, Prices and Credit

Are my payment card details safe?
Yes. The EcoHotel website is a secure site, so all data that is entered as part of your reservation is stored securely.

The price of the room I'm interested in has gone up since I last checked. For what is this?

The EcoHotel rooms are sold based on the principles that the earlier you book, the less you will pay us, and that in high demand seasons prices are higher than in low demand seasons. Normally, the price will go up as the date of the stay approaches.
Can I pay in cash?
Yes, but you can only do it at the time of your departure (check-out). All reservations require a credit card to validate a guarantee. Remember to mention your payment preference to the receptionist so they can help you.
I am a foreigner, do I have to pay VAT?
No, as a foreigner, you can request an “Export Invoice” for your stay, you must request it at the Hotel reception upon your departure (check-out). In addition, you must pay in USD and present your Passport and Entry Record to Chile.

How can I present a complain?
You can file a complaint by sending us a message to administracion@ecohotel.cl and we will do everything possible to improve what you did not like.

In order to better manage your reservation, we ask that you include your first and last name (s), your email address, the name of the hotel, the dates of your stay and the reservation number, if possible.
Can I make a reservation on behalf of someone else?
If possible. The guest must carry the reservation confirmation and a valid photo ID.
